I’m lucky to have been photographing Isabella since she was just a wee thing. She has always been perky and sweet and adorable – there is simply nothing not to love. But this year, as she turned two, I just can’t help but mention (in this Christmasy setting) her striking resemblance to Cindy Lou Who, who happens to be my favorite Christmas character of all time. Since I have a little toddler of my own who is starting to realize for the first time that there is something special about this time of year, I’m completely in tune to the magic that the innocence of this age brings. And Isabella has got it all going on. Her charming fascination with the tree, the glow in her face as she turns to regard it, and the sweet and honest anticipation of Santa’s visit to her chimney and all the amazing happiness he’ll leave behind. I think it’s fair to say that this little session definitely made me want to be a kid again.
