Every time I have the opportunity to photograph a couple that is expecting their first wee one I consider it such an honor. I always remember being in their shoes – the excitement, the expectation, the anxiety – imagining a life that was inconceivable to me at that point in time but knowing without a doubt that it was going to rock my world. When I met Megan and Patrick, I was blown away by their sense of calm. Megan’s due date was fast approaching – in these photos she was only a couple of weeks from full term – and I was completely flabbergasted by how in control they were (at this point in my pregnancy I had one foot in the door of the looney bin). So vibrant and full of energy – and they had so much passion flowing between them! I’m sure I don’t need to point out that Megan is simply stunning – in such a way that at times I forgot I was photographing a pregnant woman and was fooled into thinking I had hired a supermodel – and Patrick was smooth, collected and full of excitement at the thought of becoming a daddy. I wanted to capture the universal beauty that Megan was exuding – as well as the sensuality that was still alive and well between them just weeks from the arrival of their daughter. Now, their INCREDIBLY adorable peanut has arrived (you will see photos of their perfect princess in the coming weeks) and their lives will never be the same! So here’s a glimpse of how “life used to be” before they became  a family of three.
